AI (beta) panel
Open AI Folder
Explorer on the folder where Ask AI writes its tools.
On the ribbonStacked button, AI (beta) panel
NeedsAt least one tool created
Command
PYOPENAIFOLDERShortcutNone set (bind one in Shortcuts)
What it does#
Opens %APPDATA%\pyACAD\extensions\AI.extension\AI.tab\Generated.panel in
Explorer. Every generated tool is an ordinary bundle folder there: read it, edit it, copy it
into your own extension, or delete it. Before Ask AI has created anything it says so in a
toast instead of opening an empty window. The command is
PYOPENAIFOLDER.
Good to know#
- Deleting a tool's folder and clicking Reload removes it from the ribbon.
- Renaming a folder changes its bundle key, so a chord bound to it in the Shortcuts editor would need binding again.
- To keep a generated tool for good, copy its folder into your own extension and give it a proper icon; the AI tab is meant as a workbench.
Source#
The tool's own files, word for word as shipped in AI_(beta).panel/Setup.stack/Open_AI_Folder.pushbutton. Every pyACAD tool is an ordinary bundle: copy these into your own extension and change what you like.
